About us

Shweta Bonneau is the designer and owner of River Goddess. She studied fashion design in India and New York City. Her love for Indian textiles and designing clothes motivated her to open her own boutique in Dubai when she was just 21years old. 

She met her husband Andrew in Australia and in 2010 moved from Dubai to Australia. Andrew is an artist who is also a creative advisor for Harmonia. Their interests in arts, textiles, travel, nature and designing have build the foundation of this business.

River Goddess had its beginnings in 2017 at the markets in Cairns and Port Douglas, in tropical North Queensland, Australia. Our customers love the comfortable, high quality and stylish clothes. We are now online serving customers globally.

Our designs are inspired by traditional textiles, vintage styles and natural fabrics. We love using cotton and other breathable fabrics for our collections. At River Goddess we highly value aesthetics and do not compromise with our quality of materials.

We are very pleased to work with small businesses in India and Indonesia. We make sure that the workers are paid above average salaries and the working conditions are great.
